• Vashon Island High School is a four-year, comprehensive public high school with AESD Accreditation. Our student population is about 500, and we have a staff of about 40. Our island location contributes to our students’ sense of individualism and uniqueness. Our community offers exceptional support in and out of the classroom, including active arts advisory boards, sports booster clubs, a community scholarship foundation and corporate contributions to our programs.

Our school offers a full range of college preparatory courses in English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and Spanish with a number of vocational offerings in the areas of technology, digital arts, health, woodworking, and wearable metals. Our fine arts program offers courses in 2D and 3D art, band, and theater. Each year we also host exchange students through A.F.S. and Rotary.

Our graduation rate is between 90-95% annually with 80% of our students in post-secondary institutions. Upon graduating from our school, students attend in-state and out-of-state vocational programs, two-year colleges, and four-year colleges/universities, both public and private. We are very proud of our students as they embody the values of our community, to be engaged, curious, and agents of change to improve the world they live in.
