Teaching is my passion. I am a proud Husky (Go Dawgs!) earning my M. Ed in Instruction and Assessment.. I believe in being kind, accepting and helping every student learn. I have high expectations and strive to help every student reach their full potential. It is my goal to make learning a fun and positive experience. Each year, my hope is to create a classroom filled with laughter and joy.
I began my career 22 yrs ago as a para educator in Special Education and since then, I have also taught 7th and 8th grade English, US History and Government, World and Washington State History, American Sign Language and Outdoor Survival. I am passionate about social justice and also volunteer in a juvenile justice center.
When I am not teaching, you will find me in the outdoors hiking, camping and kayaking and also, doing chores on our family farm. I love spending time with my family, art, music, sports and animals.
